The Encore program is back this winter!!

Fourth and fifth graders will bring the bilingual musical Martina y Pérez to life at Escuela Key. Presented in partnership with Encore Stage & Studio, this year’s production celebrates Spanish and Latin American storytelling through music, movement, and laughter. Fourth and fifth graders have the opportunity to be cast or crew in a bilingual musical at Key this winter!

Known by several names, Martina y Pérez is a traditional Spanish and Latin American tale about a beautiful little cockroach who is courted by a Cat, Dog, Rooster, and Mouse–and later cooks a very danRatóns pot of onion soup! This play features all the familiar characters (including Ratón Pérez, the "Tooth Fairy" of Latin America) singing catchy songs full of Spanish and English vocabulary.
